Η σειρά-φαινόμενο επιτυχίας, «Game of Thrones», απέσπασε κάποια από τα σημαντικότερα βραβεία της βραδιάς, το “Veep” το βραβείο της καλύτερης κωμικής σειράς ενώ το «Transparent», ”εφυγε” με δύο βραβεία- Ο Αμερικανός Jon Hamm κέρδισε το βραβείο του Α΄ανδρικού ρόλου σε δραματική σειρά και η Viola Davis έγινε η πρώτη μαύρη γυναίκα που τιμήθηκε με το βραβείο Α΄ γυναικείου ρόλου σε δραματική σειρά, στην ιστορία της αμερικανικής τηλεόρασης-Δείτε τη λίστα με τους νικητές!
Σάρωσε στα βραβεία Emmy, η σειρά-φαινόμενο «Game of Thrones». Στην 67η απονομή των τηλεοπτικών βραβείων, η σειρά-φαινόμενο απέσπασε 12 βραβεία, ανάμεσα τους, το βραβείο της Καλύτερης Δραματικής Σειράς.
Οι παραγωγοί της σειράς, παραλαμβάνοντας το βραβείο ευχαρίστησαν το τηλεοπτικό δίκτυο ΗBO, που – όπως είπαν χαρακτηριστικά-, «πίστεψε στους δράκους!».
Το «Game of Thrones» ήταν τέσσερις φορές υποψήφιο κατά το παρελθόν σε αυτή την κατηγορία, ωστόσο χθες κέρδισε το πολυπόθητο βραβείο επικρατώντας άλλων σειρών της ίδιας κατηγορίας όπως “Ο Πύργος του Ντάουντον”, “House of Cards”, “Tο πορτοκαλί είναι το νέο μαύρο”, “Mad Men”.
Μία ακόμα νίκη στη σειρά «Game Of Thrones», έφερε ο Peter Dinklage, ο οποίος απέσπασε το βραβείο του Β΄ρόλου σε δραματική σειρά.
